Objective
1. To reignite the tradition of attaining Islamic knowledge through halaqah and with sanad by studying turath books, i.e treasures of intellectual Islamic scholars over the centuries.
2. To build a knowledgeable, practising and moralistic generation
Medium of Instruction
Classes will be taught in Malay language.
Program Modules
Students will learn the following 4 modules in this 2-year program:
Fiqh
Book: Al-Risalah al-Jami’ah
Al-Risalah Al-Jami’ah presents an essential primer on Shafie school teachings, offering a solid grounding in Islamic faith and practice.
Akhlaq
Book: Bidayah al-Hidayah
Bidayah al-Hidayah offers a comprehensive roadmap to Islamic ethics, guiding seekers through the realms of obedience, avoidance of disobedience, and harmonious relationships with the Creator and creation.
Tauhid
Book: Durus Tauhid
Durus Tauhid offers concise teachings on Iman (Faith) and the attributes of Allah, aiding beginners in comprehending the foundational aspects of the Islamic testimony of faith.
Seerah
Book: Ringkasan Nur al-Yaqin
Ringkasan Nurul Yaqien enlightens readers with essential events from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, nurturing a deeper love and appreciation for his impactful legacy.

Who is this program for?
This program is tailored for individuals who are seeking to learn or relearn the fundamental Islamic knowledge encompassing personal religious obligations (Fardhu ‘Ain) and communal responsibilities (Kifayah), within a circle of knowledge (halaqah).

Below are the available days and time slots. A minimum number of 15 students is required to start a class.

Day: Saturdays
Time: 9 am – 1 pm
Venue: PKMS Building
Muslimin
Day: Sundays
Time: 9 am – 1 pm
Venue: Masjid Hajjah Fatimah
Assessment
Assessment is optional. Only those who opt for assessment may request for a transcript at the end of the program.
Eligibility to seat for exam: Attandance 80%
Mid Year Exam: 20%
Final Year Exam: 50%
Teacher’s Assessment: 30%

Entry Requirements
- Applicants should be 13 years of age or older.
- The desire to learn must come from the applicant himself/herself (ie. it is not due to the coercion of his parents or guardians).
Admission
Registration opens in the second quarter and last quarter of the year for July and January intake respectively.

Yes, ladies and men are segregated into different classes. The ladies are taught by ustazahs while the men are taught by ustazs.
