Halaqah Kitab:
Bidayah al-Hidayah

About

Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (450 – 505 AH) was a towering renewer (mujaddid) of Islam, whose crisis of faith led him to abandon worldly prestige for Sufi introspection. Bidayat al-Hidayah (The Beginning of Guidance), composed late in his life, distills his journey into a practical manual for spiritual wayfarers (salikun). It bridges juristic rigor and Sufi devotion, emphasizing that guidance (hidayah) begins with disciplined action before evolving into heart purification.

Scholar’s Insight:
Bidayat al-Hidayah is not merely read—it is lived. Its objectives converge on one goal: To turn the seeker from a slave of habit (‘aadah) into a slave of Allah (‘ibad ar-Rahman), whose every breath is a testament to His remembrance.”
