Course Outline
The Matan al-Zubad is a poetic text rich in the foundational principles of fiqh in every fiqh chapter that exists. This matan has attracted the attention of most of the Shafi’i scholars to be explained (sharh) so that it can be understood and practiced by students and followers of Islam.
The Matan al-Zubad, composed by Imam Ibn Roslan, has received an overwhelming response, almost on par with Matan Abi Syuja’. The fiqh discussions in Matan al-Zubad are more comprehensive than those in Matan Abi Syuja’. In fact, it has a unique arrangement by placing the discussion of the basic principles of Usul Fiqh and the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah at the beginning of the text, serving as an introduction to its fiqh discussions.

The course will be taught in Malay language.
