1. To reignite the tradition of attaining Islamic knowledge through halaqah and with sanad by studying turath books, i.e treasures of intellectual Islamic scholars over the centuries.
2. To build a knowledgeable, practising and moralistic generation
Medium of Instruction
We offer separate classes taught in Malay and English, allowing students to choose their preferred language of instruction.
Program Modules
Students will learn the following 4 core modules in this 2-year program:
Fiqh Ibadah 2
Book: Safinah al-Najah
Safinah al-Najah offers a concise and essential guide to worship, encompassing fundamental insights into purification, prayer, zakat, and fasting.
Tazkiyah 2
Book: Bidayah al-Hidayah
Bidayah al-Hidayah offers a comprehensive roadmap to Islamic ethics, guiding seekers through the realms of obedience, avoidance of disobedience, and harmonious relationships with the Creator and creation.
Aqidah 2
Book: Durus Tauhid
Durus Tauhid offers concise teachings on Iman (Faith) and the attributes of Allah, aiding beginners in comprehending the foundational aspects of the Islamic testimony of faith.
Sirah 1
Book: Tarikh Hawadith
This course offers a trip to the past, learning the history of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions. How they went through the days before and after prophethood, the challenges they faced, the spread of Islam and key happenings in the Prophet’s history that still resonate with our times. Hoping by the end of the course we would have increase our love and appreciation to our Prophet ﷺ.

Who is this program for?
This program is tailored for individuals who are seeking to learn or relearn the fundamental Islamic knowledge encompassing personal religious obligations (Fardhu ‘Ain) and communal responsibilities (Kifayah), within a circle of knowledge (halaqah).

Assessment is optional. Only those who opt for assessment may request for a transcript at the end of the program.
Eligibility to seat for exam: Attendance 80%
Mid Year Exam: 20%
Final Year Exam: 50%

Progression
Students who excel in their course of study may progress to Weekly Halaqah Ta’lim Level 2.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants should be 13 years of age or older.
- The desire to learn must come from the applicant himself/herself (ie. it is not due to the coercion of his parents or guardians).
- Applicants should have successfully completed either Weekly Halaqah Ta’lim Foundation Level, or have completed comprehensive studies of Al-Risalah al-Jami’ah under the guidance of teacher(s) at any educational institution.
Admission
Registration opens in the second quarter and last quarter of the year for July and January intake respectively.

FAQ for Weekly Halaqah Ta'lim
Yes, ladies and men are segregated into different classes. The ladies are taught by ustazahs while the men are taught by ustazs.
