1. To reignite the tradition of attaining Islamic knowledge through halaqah and with sanad by studying turath books, i.e treasures of intellectual Islamic scholars over the centuries.
2. To build a knowledgeable, practising and moralistic generation
Medium of Instruction
We offer separate classes taught in Malay and English, allowing students to choose their preferred language of instruction.

Students will learn the following 3 core modules through the book Al-Risalah al-Jami’ah in this 1-year program:
Aqidah 1
- The Pillars of Islam
- Faith, Iman
Fiqh Ibadah 1
- Obligations of the Wudhu’
- Ritual Bath
- Acts that invalidate the Wudhu’
- Obligations of the Salât
- Acts that invalidate the Salât
- The Juma, Friday Prayer
Fasting
- Zakât of Assets
- Zakât al-Fitr
- The Pillars of the Hajj
- The pillars of the Umra
- Tawâf and Sa’iy
- Obligations of the Hajj
- The Sunan of the Hajj
- Missing out a part of the Hajj
Tazkiyyah 1
- Keeping the heart from vices
- Vices of the heart
- Vices of the limbs
- Programs & books may be changed without prior notice
In addition to these core modules, students will also learn secondary subjects.
Who is this program for?
This program is tailored for individuals who are seeking to learn or relearn the fundamental Islamic knowledge encompassing personal religious obligations (Fardhu ‘Ain) and communal responsibilities (Kifayah), within a circle of knowledge (halaqah).

Assessment
Assessment is optional. Only those who opt for assessment may request for a transcript at the end of the program.
Eligibility to seat for exam: Attendance 80%
Mid Year Exam: 20%
Final Year Exam: 50%
Teacher’s Assessment: 30%

Progression
Students who excel in their course of study may progress to Halaqah Ta’lim Mingguan Marhala 1.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants should be 13 years of age or older.
- The desire to learn must come from the applicant himself/herself (ie. it is not due to the coercion of his parents or guardians).
Admission
Registration opens in the second quarter and last quarter of the year for July and January intake respectively.
