Essentials of Worship
Our youth are exposed to a wide-range of influences which may affect their identity as Muslims. From time to time, it is useful to draw them back to Islamic knowledge to reignite their God-consciousness (taqwa) and rejuvenate their spirit to live their lives as Muslims with conviction.
This holiday course, Essentials of Worship, breaks down wudhu’ and prayer into their component parts; identifying the obligatory, the recommended, and the nullifiers of wudhu’ and invalidators of prayer such that participants are able to perform wudu’ and prayers properly and with confidence in a modern, cosmopolitan setting.
Day 1: Integrals of Ablution (wudhu’), The Conditions of Ablution, What Nullifies the Ablution, Supplications after Ablution, Practical Ablution
Day 2: Virtues of the Prayer (solah), Integrals of the Prayer
